The impact of OSA

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is not only disruptive to your life and that of your partner, but it also has many other health implications, such as higher risk of cardiovascular diseases. If you suspect that you’re suffering from OSA, visit your physician as there are many treatments to help.

Do I have sleep apnea?

Snoring

Most people with OSA snore loudly and have visible signs of interrupted breathing during sleep, which their partner may notice.

Sleepiness

Symptoms such as sleepiness and reduced concentration increase the risk of serious accidents while driving and at work.

High blood pressure and other symptoms

In some cases, patients can suffer from headaches and forgetfulness which in turn can be associated with anxiety and depression.

OSA can kill

Left untreated, OSA is associated with increased mortality risk and comorbidities, including cardiovascular diseases, depression and stroke.
